Cultinno and CII organize ‘Pitch Party’ at NIT Srinagar

Srinagar, July 10: The Cultinno, an Innovation platform, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a successful pitch party at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar where students showcased their entrepreneurial prowess and presented their ground-breaking start-up ideas.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with approximately a dozen registrations, highlighting the growing entrepreneurial spirit among the student community in the Institute.

Srinagar: The Cultinno, an Innovation platform, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a successful pitch party at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar where students showcased their entrepreneurial prowess and presented their ground-breaking start-up ideas.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with approximately a dozen registrations, highlighting the growing entrepreneurial spirit among the student community in the Institute.

The pitch party served as a platform for aspiring student entrepreneurs to pitch their innovative ideas before a panel of distinguished investors. Following a rigorous selection process, a select few were shortlisted to present their concepts to these esteemed investors on a subsequent day.

Cultinno & Bajaj Electricals join hands to kick off innovation challenge

Cultinno co-founder Anuj Kothari said the organisation wasi “here to drive a culture of Innovation by making it a habit and contributing to creating an ecosystem. We are very eager to onboard the untapped innovators from Tier-2 & Tier-3 cities across India by breaching language and access barriers. The response has been great till now with many corporates willing to consider using the platform for their innovation needs.”  

Cultinno, a social impact initiative aimed at driving a culture of innovation, has joined hands with Bajaj Electricals to launch what it calls a Bajaj Cultinno Challenge. Cultinno with Bajaj is trying to find a solution that will keep water heaters operational despite being under high TDS conditions, it said in a press statement. 

Workshop on Agriculture Entrepreneurship held at IUST

Awantipora, Nov 22: The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED), IUST organised a workshop on Agricultural Entrepreneurship on Tuesday. The main speakers were Dr Rahul Mirchandani, Chairman/Managing Director, Aires Agro Limited, and Mr Khursheed Dar, Deputy Director, Confederation of Indian Industry. The aim of the workshop was to expose the students of Business and Management Studies to entrepreneurship opportunities in the agricultural sector, the university’s PRO said in a statement. The Director spoke at length about the innovative measures that the agricultural companies are undertaking to offer sustainable solutions to the problems faced by farmers across the country. He emphasised that sincerity and loyalty are critical for branding of any institution and said that women possess master marketing brains, with a huge potential to excel in agricultural entrepreneurship. Mr Dar discussed various employment opportunities available in the agricultural business and encouraged students to select their education options wisely so that they acquire the relevant skills. Vice Chancellor IUST Prof Shakil A Romshoo launched the Cultinno Innovation Challenges in collaboration with CII and Aires Agro Limited and appreciated the need for building the required kind of skills among the students so that they are able to compete for jobs at the national level. The programme was coordinated by Dr Parvaiz A Mir, Director CIED. Pertinently, CIED, IUST is a Section 8 Company established to promote innovation and entrepreneurship with eight verticals including Women Entrepreneurship Development Cell, IPR Cell, Skill and Capacity Development Cell, Technological Business Incubator Cell, Centre of Excellence, Design Innovation Cell, and a vertical for Technology Innovation in Renewable Energy & Climate Change.
